Trapped!

I played in two more SNG Tuesday night. I think I am really becoming to prefer this format over the limit ring games I have played in the past. I will have to play some more of these on Royal Vegas to see if I can make it profitable.

I was doing pretty well in the first tournament. I had the chip lead with four other players left and then I made a huge mistake and tried to set a trap with trip fours. I was so focused on my hand and trying to set a trap for my opponent that I didn't even see the straight possibility on the board.

I pretty much handed her the tournament right there as she went on to win. I will have to be more observant next time and make sure I don't trap myself. If I had raised on the turn, she probably would have folded her hand and I might have won the tournament. I never got a chance to recover and went out in fourth place.

I did better in the second tournament and ended up finishing in 2nd place and received $2.25 for my effort. I knocked out the first three players on two separate hands. The first one with AKo and the next two with KQs.

Then late in the tournament another two players were eliminated when I was dealt KJo in the BB and caught a jack on the flop. I really didn't have anything to do with winning this hand except posting the BB which was more than either of the players had left. I just happened to get lucky, when I was dealt my hand.

I had the chip lead by about 600 chips, when we got down to heads up, but I was not able to hold on to it and ended up pushing my remaining chips in after being dealt K5o in the BB and was called by KTo.
